Well the Vapor - 100% polyester shirts are more expensive than cotton ones. Where have you checked for prices?
Is the polyester tees more expensive than cotton ones? I do not think so, in China, the cotton yarn increased so much. The cooton tees is more expensive.
vapor apparel mostly, prices between 4.50 and 5.50 cad

not here at least poly cost almost double and is harder to find!
In "North America" you will find that the Vapor (polyester) shirts are more expensive than the cotton t-shirts.
I get my vapor shirts from Joto. Bringing Images To Life & www.canadianengravers.com
Sometimes they have sales on them which is a good time to stock up.

Techno and Sanmar both have Technical Polyester. We custom manufacture but the price points are even higher! Beware of printing on poly though... some special things to be aware of. Contact me if you need some help.
Beware of printing on poly though...
should I? why?
Polyester bleeds or sublimates when you put it thru the dryer. I'm sure you've seen the white print that looks more like pink on a red shirt? That's the red dye releasing and dying the ink. You'll need to run the dryer slower at a lower heat and use poly block underbase inks. Typically 40% more cost than standard white ink.
Also, polyester shrinks so flashing too long or hot will wreak the registration. If the poly has lycra, you need a stretch additive.

Hope that helps. Talk to your ink supplier and if he says it's the same, then switch ink suppliers! Good luck
