Anybody got any ideas how to get an epson 2200 print head to the UK? Or if and where they actually do sell them over this side of the pond? Doesnt seem like the US ship over here for some reason. I need 7 new dampers and a new print head any ideas.

Cheers in advance

YES ltd is the only authorised reseller of DTG Digital Epson parts in the UK, the telephone number is 01623 863343. Your Embroidery Services - Yes Ltd. - Your Embroidery Services - Yes Ltd

They will have all the parts you need to service your machine.

Best regards

I did ring YES yesturday but i was quoted more than £500 for the head and over £200 for dampers. Theres no way i'm paying that. I think i'm sorted now anyway cheers for your reply.
Hi Wirral,

I got the same response. Dampers were £27.50 each + delivery and VAT and for 8 dampers it workwed out at over £260. I went online and got them delivered from a DTG Dealer in the US for £78 delivered
We've been getting spares from :: The Supplies Shop for the past few years.

We've found YES to be helpful but also very, very expensive.

Hi Mark

Its unfortunate that people jump to conclusions too quickly without finding out the correct reasons behind DTG's pricing in Europe.
DTG has a firm commitment to supply genuine Epson products through an agreement with Epson, this agreement ties us into a certain price structure set by Epson. DTG Europe and YES Ltd therefore have a different buying price to other Epson OEM'S and have to adjust our resale prices accordingly, Epson do this so we can legally convert their machines without purchasing their ink, all of the big printer manufactures earn the majority of money from ink and this would be a negative deal for Epson unless the prices of spares was increased. We are also committed to just supplying Epson parts to our industry and we do not hide away from the fact that customers can and will purchase spares elsewhere.

unfortunately Garath all im bothered about is that i have to pay more than twice as much as my American counterparts for exactly the same part. the reasons behind it mean nothing to me

and it annoys me more that somebody in epsom has tried to slap a baning order on certain companys selling/shipping to the uk for obvious reasons $£
Just for your information all Epson print heads are OEM, There are no print heads for Epson printers that are not OEM. So all print heads are made by epson. The prince for a 2100 -200 print head should not be that expensive whne we can get them here in Aus alot cheaper than that. I have never come across a third party manufactured print head yet and i have worked on alot of printers. Let me know if there are such a print head and I will personally look into it myself and try them out.
unfortunatly the printheads do cos that much here in the UK. theres only 1 place in the whole of England that sell parts for the DTG (YES ltd) allowing them to charge what they want and blatently ripping us off.

its actually cheaper to buy certain printers 1800/1900/2400 and pull the printhead and dump the rest of the machine........ how bizzare is that
there is no way in europe where you can buy epson 2200 heads! sad. but true. all OEM epson part distros dont have stock on it anymore as it is out of print.
Why don't our printing friends in the U.S. order the parts for us in Europe and send them on to us for the price they pay plus a small profit for time and postage??
My understanding is the epson 2200 printheads are out or at least hard to get so many suppliers have to go with a more expensive but compatible epson printhead. I think everyone's prices are going to get higher as the cheap stock runs out.
What other epson head was seven channels? Is it an epson oem from the sign industry? I was unaware that there would be an available replacement.
wow, so americanscreen is selling the head now for approx $500. we used to pay 178 euro when it was available. so i believe ppl are ripping us again now...

i do understand a certain increase but double the price??? cmon....
