I have a unit, do not know what it is. It was painted by someone and I see no markings. But the threaded sleeve that threads onto the knob, also threaded, has snapped. I don't think I can JB Weld since it is a thread and thin.

I have attached a pic for a guide. The Odyysey pic is not what I am looking for, just to help explain. This sleeve sits in the hole and then a bolt threads over that. The threaded knob then goes through this and pushes down on an aluminum bracket that tightens down and holds y screens.

But where can I find this sleeve? I really do not know what its proper name is. That with no make or model..

It is a 1/2 diameter with a 3/8 thread. it is 3/4 in length.

you could check online with Grainger they may have it if your in a big hurry if you have an Ace hardware try there. It's very similar to a nutsert .

Lol. Thanks for your reply. I was just getting on to say I found an answer to the problem. "ACE HARDWARE" I did get a nutsert but they did not have one long enough.

They did have a short one with a well sized flanged end and I was able to drill two small holes on each side into the aluminum and with self taps held it in place. Threaded my knob through the 3/8 hole and it is usable! I love it when things go as planned.
