Hi.. I have my cutter and im going to be using vinyl for the designs.
When I print out the vinyl design do I just set it on top of the t-shirt and use the heat press or is there some other thing im forgetting ?

Whats the whiteish/clear material called that you see being set over the t-shirt before the Heat Press is pulled down ?

Thanks for any help !

Should be as simple as placing the t-shirt on the press, placing the cut vinyl on the t-shirt, placing a teflon sheet (said whiteish material, this is very important - without it, the transfer will glue itself to the top of the heat press) over the vinyl transfer, and pressing the shirt.

I haven't personally done vinyl transfers though, and you might consider asking over at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Heat_Transfers_For_Desktop_Printers/ for more information.

Follow the directions for the vinyl that YOU are using. They are all a bit (sometimes a lot) different. The vinyl is cut in reverse - layed on top of the t-shirt and pressed. The teflon sheet is "usually" not necessary if you have the full plastic backing on your graphic on a 'virgin' shirt - (no other graphic already applied).

Hi to everybody. I'm kinda new in this and i would like you to help me. I want to start making some T-Shirts for myself but I really don't know all about it. I'm gonna by the cutter but still I don't know what kind of vinyl to buy or where to find it. I've been told that the one I should use is different from the one that I can make stickers with, I've also been told that it's called vinyl film that's the one i Should use. I know what i have to do with Illustrator... everything related to the design i want to print (in this case cut). Please I hope that you guys can help me with this issue

Thanks

JC
