I just recently got a Roland GX-24 for our screen printing shop and we have a client that has asked us to do their logo and some other vinyl lettering on the front window of their offices. They currently have the company name and some other info hand painted on that window. So I'm wondering what the best method or chemical would be to remove those painted on letters and prep the surface for my vinyl.

I was also curious as to what type of vinyl would be safe? We started out with a few basic colors of Oracal 651, but I didn't know if this was OK for a storefront window? Should I use at least 751?

Thanks for the input!

Depending on the paint used but most of the time a razor blade and water works well. (lightly soaped is even better)

The water/soap is just a lubricant and the blade cleans it off quite easily.
