I think the top four are (and in no particular order): Equipment Zone, Belquette, DTG Digital and Neoflex. You should go to a NBM or ISS show near you, or the SGIA show and check them out in person. The cost of the investment makes a trip to one of the shows very worth while in my opinion.

What do you plan to do with your Inkjet printer, Film Negatives, Heat Transfers, convert to DTG? I am in the same boat you are, I am looking at buying a wide format inkjet printer tomorrow. I tried Kinkos and did not get a decent print for film negative. Looks like my initial investment will be a EPSON Workforce 7010. I will be a CIS system after a few more jobs. Hope this helps.

I picked up my workforce 7010 this morning, As soon as I get home I have to unpack it, and set it up and print some film positives. I am going to try and print on standard transparency and see how they come out. Will post and let you all know :)

You will need to be very careful as it dries. If it still looks wet it is. And if you use a rip you will have to Laydown less ink or it will puddle. just sayin lol
Thank you for the useful information, I am not using any RIP softwware yet. Simply doing multiple color spot printing. Eventually will get into halftones and ripping. but for now my jobs are pretty simple :)
