I've heard you can take old custom mixed ink and dump it in a 5 gal container, them add a little of that to black.

Anyone else do that? Does it work?

I have heard the same thing, but my suggestion is to call the ink manf and ask them. They all typically have a staff technical person who can help you.

We mix similar colors together and use them when we can. Or we will mix all the colors together and use it for underbase if it comes out light enough.
