398 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  IYFGraphics
I have a customer who is doing a fund raiser to earn money for research for an terminal illness her son has. She is wanting approx. 250 shirts and I have 1 heat press.

Costs:

Shirt: $2.34 (free shipping)
Front Transfer: $1.08
Back Transfer: $1.08
Transfer Freight: $0.06 per shirt

Total Cost: $4.56

Any idea on what to charge her?

Diana,

Not to sound like a smart axx but are you being a sponsor of the event or you coming at this from a business aspect where profit is important?

We just finished a similar order for a transplant patient we sponsored 30 shirts and the remainder they paid for, total order was around 60 shirts, while we didn't make a dime on the job our costs were covered and everyone was happy.

But to answer your question from a business perspective about $9 a shirt would be a fair price to sell them retail, if you wanted to give them a discount you would have to decide what you want for your time and expenses.

Hope this helps
I'm not sponsoring it, they actually have several sponsors. I'm looking at it from mostly a business aspect and a little personal. I just want to make a little for my time and electric.

I understand, 250 shirts front and back (that's 500 presses) is going to take quite a few hours to do. From your figures you'll have around $1250 in materials, at $6.00 per you'd be making a little and probably covering your electricity.

Hope this helps.
