Hello all, I have an opportunity to do some contract embroidery work, about a 1,000 pieces crew neck sweat shirts. Don`t know the stitch count yet or how many colors, but I was hoping that sombody could give me an idea of what to charge if they were given the same opportunity. I do know that this person will supply everything including needles, backing, the garments and even thread. So really I am not out anything but my time.

For the standard logo its about $2 a pc, but theres a lot of work if your not setup for it, most contract embroiders have up to 24+ heads
to work with...if your not setup this way, best bet to out source and up your price 15% to 30%

Just got some more info...the design is 3,000 stitches one color, and running at 1100 stitches a minute it takes a little over 3 minutes to sew out.

Would you really stitch at 1100 pm? What about factoring in thread breaks & other mishaps? Maybe 5 min would be more realistic.
