I'm new to the shirt business. I'm a sign shop doing vehicle wraps banners, all of that good stuff, but I'm trying to expand into the T-shirt market. I have a Hotronix heat press and I've been using thermoflex. I've been making shirts like this for years, but its time to offer a better product. I want to get a printer to print sublimation prints and regular prints. What kind of printer do I need to get? I don't mind getting 2 different printers for each process. Thanks

I'd get an Epson Workforce. I have a 7010 which uses Pigment Ink. This works best with Blank Transfers. I have a 2nd Epson Workforce 7010 which I use for Sublimation. If I were you I'd check with Cobra that everyone mentions on this site. Some people like CIS (Continous Ink Systems) or Refillable. I like Refillable's.

I use the Photo Paper Glossy option with High Quality. I also use DyeSubStore for Sublimation Paper. They sell Ink too.

For me, the CIS' kept clogging. The CIS has a reservoir that sits outside the printer with tubes that run into the printer. That's just adding more things that could go wrong.

Refills, sit right inside the printer. You have to take them out to refill, and reset them if they don't have a refill reset switch. But much less issues.

Don't get me wrong, some people love CIS'. All printers have issues.

Staples or Amazon. Don't remember exactly.
I'd like to get another 7010 for sublimation (I have one with pigment ink for regular transfers) but Epson has discontinued them. The 7510 is overkill for dyesub printing but to get 13x19 print capability, looks like that'll have to do. I just bought a WF30 (waiting on it to arrive).

Hey Paul, I have bought paper from these guys but not ink. As they don't have it on their website. Have you used their ink before?

No, Simon the owner told me he sold ink too. Thought I saw it listed somewhere on his site.

When did you buy paper from them? Will you PM me your full name?

I have about 5 rolls of sublimation. I don't know what kind of printers would use them, or anyone that has a huge sublimation printer that does. If anyone does, I can give them the paper for free.
