I was watching a promo video for a trade show and it showed a machine stitching embroidery that looked loopy and fluffy, like terry cloth. Almost reminded me of the letters on a letterman jacket. I'm trying to find a picture but can't at the moment..

Can chenille be done directly on a hat or canvas tote? Or does it *have* to be done as a patch?
