Hey guys

Im looking for some software that i would be able to design and cut from, it can run on either mac or pc as we have both.
is corel draw any good for this?

I think you can't go wrong with Adobe Illustrator, but Draw will also do the job and some recommend InkScape (its free).
Download the trial versions (InkScape full) and see what suits you best.

I tried Inkscape (didn't like it) and shortly afterwards I bought Corel. Corel does everything I need and more!

I would try the 30 day trials of the 3 major programs... Corel/Illustrator and Photoshop...
I started out with photoshop and love it. I also have used Corel and it's very capable also(some cool features for tshirt separations). Illustrator is amazing and very powerful and i have used it.
but Pshop is my go to graphics program... Good luck.

go for corel draw I find it easier to learn than illustrator.
