Thanks, Ken! We have been printing our lights on a Brother for awhile, and we have been sourcing darks to a Kornit owner, until I decide what to do about dark garment production in the future. How is the machine working, for you? I have seen some of the improvements that Kornit has made to their software, as well as their support system, recently; I hope it's all paying off for you owners! It certainly looks cool.
There are many aspects to the software I am working on, but the version that is about to be launched is the MySpace-specific one. It will be located within the MySpace apps gallery, and any user will be able to quickly and easily install it, at the push of a button. The app will put a t-shirt store on their profile page, which they can then custommize to their liking. While logged into MySpace, the user can then design their own t-shirts, view the manufacturing cost, add their own markup amount, and then add the items to their customized store. Users can also make their designs "shareable", which allows OTHER store owners to purchase the t-shirt, and then gives them the option of putting it in THEIR store, as well; any time that item is sold, anywhere on the network, the predetermined markup amount is split 50/50 between the original artist, and the store owner who sold it.
After that, we will be making the platform available online, anywhere you can embed a flash movie file (ie, website, blogs, forums, etc). Just like the MySpace version, this app will be available for free, as we will be doing the actual manufacturing / fulfillment.
From THERE, we will be offering a modified version of the sofware for sale, which will be available for DTG printer owners who want to allow their customers to design their own garments on their website, as well as create "mini-stores" and such. At that time, we will also make a version of our internal automation software available, as well.
As you can see, there are many parts to this project... haha. But one step at a time! We are going to launch the MySpace stuff, first, and see where that takes us.....
