Hi there
I already have an Epson WF 7110 ,a heat press and a Plotter (Cameo)!
I have found the material for white T-shirt designs (the JPSS) and I also use Vinyl for simple designs in Black T-shirt! Usually I make stencils and layer on the T-shirt!
But what I have to buy so I can make designs like photos on Black T-shirt ! I have use a printable vinyl, the results are great but the design had a heavy feeling! I need a soft feeling like the JPSS paper in white T-shirt!
I can achieve this if I buy another Epson 7110 and make it Dye sublimation?
I need a solution but not an expensive one like DTG ! Also not a screen printing process because I have not a lot orders! Usually I sell 2 T-shirt per week!
Thanks in advance

So far, you cannot yet dye sub on black. There is no white dye sub ink, so nothing will show up.
For black shirts, I've had good success with Forever Dark laser transfers. I just did commemorative black tshirts for a surf convention in Cali and use Forever Dark and my oki 711wt printer.
This printer has white toner so the images show up on black.
Other than printed heat transfers and vinyl, screen printing is the next bet.

You CAN sublimate on glitter vinyl. So, if you wanted to use glitter vinyl as your first layer and then sublimate over that, you could, but your end result would be colored glitter.

Good luck~

Thanks a lot for the answer! Can you please tell me if the feeling from the design is soft or hard with the forever laser transfer paper? Have a soft feeling like a screen printing? If yes I think I buy an Oki also!

Yes sir, a nice soft hand. About like a 3 color screen print.
And there is an added benefit of having a glass finish or a matter finish.

Forever is a 2 step system with one page being printed and then that page being pressed onto a B page. Then the printed page is pressed onto fabric. When you take the page off, ALL the design comes off onto the fabric and it's glossy. If you want matte, you press again with a parchment sheet and it mattes the image down. I adore it.

You can also use Imageclip for dark with great success.

I got a new okidata from an ebay seller and then I get white carts for it from Valley Litho, also on ebay.

BIIIIG okidatas are $$$, but the 8.5 x 11 size are under $3000.
I got mine for myself for Christmas, from an ebay seller: metamorphosedigitaldepot

Mine was $2700 shipped.

So there are some deals out there is you search and have patience.

I use the oki to also create labels for bottles and jars, transparent with white lettering/graphics, concert-style t-shirts, water slide decals for fingernails, and it's a great laser printer for when you don't need white

AAAAAAAAND dream built back up!

Ah, I didn't see that he was out of the US...just tryin' to help.
I waited 3 years before I could get my printer, and now I use it all the time.
that was helpful

you are right, it is good to have that knowledge you offered (even if it is for a future time)
i check the classifieds once a week hoping someone is liquidating/upgrading their office and have an oki for $250

sorry if my words sounded like i was dismissive,
i thought in another post the op had mentioned they did not have too much too spend
the joys of non-visual communication

take care
