I see some viny cutters come with a corel draw plug in. What does this do? how does the GCC lx 24 do it if it doesn't have a plug in. Thanks newbie about to get my first piece of eqpt. a vinyl cutter.
Don't know much about the GCC I think maybe it uses Great Cut software. If it is like most, you can design in different vector apps, I use Corel Draw X6 then export my vector as an SVG file or Tiff into my Cutting Software called Sillhouette Studio Designer Edition, then trace and cut. Sounds like a lot of work, but it on takes a couple of seconds to accomplish and the results are fabulous.I see some viny cutters come with a corel draw plug in. Don't fret the small stuff. There is only a couple plotter/cutters that I know of, that even have this plugin. The majority do not. It is really no big deal. Just a couple of steps more, and your cutting. If you plan on purchasing a Graphtech or Roland high dollar cutter, they usually come with this "plugin". If you are looking at something more economical, then plan on adding a couple extra steps to your workflow. BTW, what cutters are you looking at? Be sure and ask about cutters in this forum as you are looking, lot of questions and concerns will be answered before you make your purchase. Again, hope this helps.thank you i guess i have a lot to learn here, michael
Both of those cutters should be fine. You might consider Imprintables.com for your purchase. They were offering a discount to forum members 5% I believe. Just use TSHIRT in the coupon code box. That may pay the shipping or buy some vinyl or accessories. A Discount is a Discount. Sure helped out when I bought my cap press from them. Good luckwow, thanks. been looking at the gcc expert 24 or possibly the gcc puma III. I don't know anything about anything. I just got a few bucks back from taxes and the kids and i would like to make a few t shirts to sell to tourists at the friday market and craft fairs to see where it might possibly go. we have some really good ideas about art work and catchy sayings, about Alaska etc. etc... interested in sublimation however i like cotton shirts as most folks do. i am willing to spend around two thousand maybe a little more to start, and if it looks promising then a little more. Thanks to all for the support and help, Michael
