Yeah
A pair of sharp ones that i only use for this pupose.
if your border is white and you leave that 1/8 border on white tees the
cutting line becomes invisable

Yes, I use a nice pair of sharp kid-size scissors that have the pointy tip. It makes it easier for me to manuever around the tight areas.

I use a papercutter to "chop" off any large blank area, then scissors to trim close to the image.

  • Good scissors that I use for paper only
  • Fiskars scissors that are tiny used for cutting fine detail (decoupage)
  • Olga rotary cutter and omnigrid ruler (used in quilting)
  • Exacto knife with omnigrid ruler or traditional metal drafting ruler with cork in back
  • Cutting mat...have various sizes

I'm totally an Xacto with a metal ruler and a self-healing cutting mat guy.
I keep my borders in straight lines to make it easier to work with. Tried other shapes with scissors---that requires patience and a steady hand. I have neither.
