Tshirt design is my passion, and I have had some luck finding serious clients, but not a whole lot.
On average, I think for every 10 inquiries I receive, I secure maybe two jobs.

So, my post is basically just asking for advise on how and where to put my name out there.
What are some of the better ways to find clients for tshirt design?
I know other designers probably dont want to give out their secrets, but im just looking for some guidance on where to go and look and connect with people who need designs. Or just some advise on how to advertise. Preferably free advertsing.

Thank you ahead of time.
This forum is such a great place to meet people who have the same passion as I.

What methods have you tried so far?

I think if you advertise your services in various portfolio sites like behance, foalio.com, flickr, elance.com, guru.com etc you will reach people who are looking for designers.

You could also connect with customers on social media like Twitter/Facebook/Pinterest.

Although we don't allow self promotional posts here, other forums like digitsmith.com have a spot for ads to be posted.

There are also design communities like mintees.com that you could network in.

You could try entering t-shirt design contests like threadless, designbyhumans (or even ours ;)) to help gain exposure for your services.

Thanks to the both of you.

The only method I have used is craigslist and facebook.
I understand that craigslist isnt the best. But, I actually do get alot of people contacting me from it. Not to many serious clients.

I also have a facebook fan page and im starting to get random people finding me on there as well, but not too many.

But like I said, for all the hits I get, there arent too many serious people. And for the most part, people dont want to pay for the service.
I think thats probably my biggest issue right now. Trying to set a price that is both fair for me as well as the customer.
