What am I doing wrong with my heat press?

Here's my setup:

PRINTER: Epson Artisan 725
INK: Dye based (I know I should have pigment, but I've read that dye will at least transfer)
PRESS: Transpro 15x15
TEMP: 375
TIME: 30 sec.
PAPER: JPSS
FABRIC: 100% Cotton

I've watched many tutorials, read up a lot on this site, and still every time I go to peel, it sticks to the shirt and I basically rip the paper off (of course the transfer looks awful and the shirt is now garbage).

I've tried pressing for less time, more time (this burned the shirt). The JPSS people say to "be careful not to exceed 375 etc. etc.) so I was hesitant to crank it up much more than that.

Any help is tremendously appreciated! Ruining shirts is getting expensive!

cotton will scorch at400F. Dont keep ruining shirts...do several small images on a sheet and cut them out..then do test prints on shirts already ruined...keep track of settings, pressure and time..do a pre press on the shirt to get moisture out. after pressing..are you doing hot peel or cold peel..?

Hot peel, and thanks.
some hot peels do best after 5-8 seconds
