Just pick a premium ink and stick with it so you can learn how to print with it. I went 100% waterbased 2 years ago and I print with Green Galaxy which is what I started with. I know how the ink reacts under all sorts of circumstances now and can account for it. There are several good systems out there so pick a quality one that you can get easily. Green Galaxy comes from Ryonet and it’s a two day ship for me but that’s ok. I just have to plan for it.
My best advice is to dive in head first! Don’t just dabble with it. I “tested” waterbased ink for 6 months and didn’t really learn a thing. It wasn’t until I committed to printing only waterbased that I really started to learn.
