Weird color "shadow" appears next to print, have you encountered this problem?

So, using a TexJet 4880 for a while now, today I've encountered a problem I've never seen before, and nothing I tried could help. :(

The problem is: there's this weird, mostly blue colored (but there's some yellow in it as well) "shadow" next to a part of the print. I mean the pattern is recognisable, it's like it would be a second layer of print, only a few centimeters upwards and much more pale, in blue - with some yellow. And another weird thing: it's only at the right hand side of the print, and it's always only that part, not far from the right side of the tray. The left side and the center is flawless.

I'm totally out of ideas. I cleaned every part of the printer I could, I ran a nozzle check (it was OK), I ran 2 powerful cleanings and 2 head cleanings, and the problem is still there.

Do you have an idea, what we could do?

You should check if the platter is straight. Sometimes from all the pressing on it it gets pushed downward on one side more than the other. Auto adjust platter doesn't fix this. You have to manually straighten it out. Hope it helps

Thank you Ruvix, I will try it.
Unfortunately this wasn't the problem. The platter is now perfectly straight, we made a print, and the same problem still occurs.

Does any of you have an idea what might be causing it?

Also I'd like to try to make a print NOT using the Rip software, but another program. Can you help me how to do it? Is it even possible with such a printer? I tried to print from Corel Draw and Photoshop, but it wouldn't work, the printer always responds that paper need to be fed to it.
Hi Erika,

I cannot see the picture but there are two things I assume:

1) dirty CR scale?
2) almost worn off head cables?

I don't know.

Have you tried to reinstall the RIP software? which build are you using?
Hi Erika, did You manage to fix the problem? I have the same problem but it is weird, once everything is perfect and in another print I have seen some color "ghosts". I try everything ... I think soo:
- change CR scale and every 2-3 days clean it,
- change head cables,
- change head carriage
- change main board
- change printer head

it took me 6 months I try everything, and after a hundred's clean prints a few has a "ghosts".

For several days I think it is a problem with RIP.

What do You think about it?
I have an idea ... maybe some counters should be reset???
Hello MC Studio,

can you please send to our support some images so we can see the problem? Also a brief history of when was those parts replaced and what RIP software you are using.

What we also suggest to check, except from the parts listed, is if the platen is lower than normal during printing. We can check this by printing uni-directional the same image and comparing the results.

Please fill the contact form in the link below in order for our support team to get in touch with you.

Hello Polyprint,
I am in contact with Polish dealer Amatec, parts was replaced in june 2019 (main board in january 2019 I am not sure, make it myself with directions from service).

RIP software I use is TexJetRip 7.0 (build 1162)
I'm having same issue with nothing posted that can help. Did you find a fix? Here are some images of my issue.

Hello jxm0213,

what printer are we talking about? Does this happen at every image? What is the distance between head and platen?

My first suggestion is to clean the scale CR.
