Oh hello everyone! Nice to meet you. I've been lurking the forums here for about a year, trying to start a tee-shirt/screen printing business, dreamin' big, etc..

I have the opportunity to bid on a relatively large contract to print logos onto biodegradable plastic ponchos. Since I'm just starting out it's tough for me to figure out how to price this and I'm hoping one of you salty dogs would help me out.

I'm sure it depends on volume so let's say 1000 units. The ink does not need to be biodegradable and it's a one-color logo. Needs to air dry as this stuff is, well, thin plastic! I've worked out with the right jig and drying rack setup I could pull off 300 units per hour. I also need to package the units.

So what do ya'll think? These things only cost $7 keep in mind. 50 cents per unit?

i print these things at $1 NZD each and charge 50 cents for repackaging as these are really tricky and time consuming to get back into the little packs the come in. make sure you use a good flexable solvent ink that won't creack when they're rolled back up to go in to packs.
