Greetings, 1019-08
We are new to this type of selling and just found this wonderful forum.
My wife and I own a Family fee fishing park in Ohio and though we make and sell heat press fishing tee's in our Bait and Tackle Shop 8 months of the year.
We now are venturing into putting my art creations on to them and her handy work creations onto them for sell.
Trouble is, we do not know where to start
I am a 57 year old Minister and Artist and my wife is a very talented seamtress. People really like our work and buy them and have suggested that we sell them; but how and where?
We would like to get to know any one that could suggest workable ideas.
Thanks and God bless,
Rev. Brady and Linda

Does your business have a store? Do you have a heat press? Do you have a printer ?(Epson is my recommendation) Many of us would be glad to help if you tell us what you have now. Lou

Greetings Badalou,
The store is our Bait and Tackle Shop at the moment. However, my wife wishes to not only sell here, because mostly only "fishing" type tee's sell here at our Family Fishing Park.
She would like to discover what other places might sell her/our creations. How would one go about reaching out to other stores and people?
Right now we use our heat press it is a:
"Geo. Knight" and weighs about 110 lbs., other wise I just take photos of my paintings and buy paper at Office Max and use a Lexmark X3350 to make the transfer. Any ideas on the best software?
Thanks Lou,
Brady

Definitely talk to other bait shops in towns around yours. They may be willing to sell a few shirts in your store, even if it is on consignment basis until you get your name out.

I would look to invest in a bulk ink system for your print outs, this will save you a lot of money on ink. Also buy your paper online, it will be a better quality and probably be cheaper than the office store stuff. Depending on your design and how many shirts you end up selling it may even be more efficient to have a screen printer do your printing for you (at contract pricing of course though)

As for design software, we use Adobe Photoshop, which is a great bitmap editor. Others use Corel, if you are familiar with vector work, you may try Adobe Illustrator.

I know this was long, but hopefully it helped!
