Has anyone had any success printing waterbased cmyk process on dark 100% polyester shirts? I'm assuming you would have to underbase, but will the ink work? I've been printing a design using plastisol cmyk and it works fine, but would like to change it to waterbased. Any thoughts?

Look for a paint supplier, try it.
We print CMYK with a water-based primer on a colored polyester.
Of course, not every fabric is properly smooth.
Change grids, emulsion, dried temperature, line screen ...

There can be an issue w/ print longevity when using waterbased inks on poly. There also may the issue of color accuracy as the WB inks may not mix and blend the same way. Your best bet is to do some sample prints and do a wash test afterwards.
