I'm looking at printing some boxes and also some brown wrapping paper. And wondered if I can get away by using waterbase inks to print on the boxes and wrapping paper?

I know there is nazdar inks as well as speedball but can i just get away by using the waterbase inks?

We use waterbased inks to print on cardboard boxes and flatstock. These inks don't dry up in the screen near as fast as acrylic inks.

And do you just let the boxes and flatstock air dry and for how long?

Checkout silkscreeningsupplies waterbased inks. It's matsui and good for paper printing.

We use Tw Graphics 5500 series, these inks are the real deal, they stick to anything.

And do you just let the boxes and flatstock air dry and for how long?

Yes, they will air dry in 5 minutes or so.
