hi, i'm new... and confused... wondering if anyone has ever used water based inks (acrylics)? is there any pros or cons? advice? thanks

The only con I've heard of is the ink drying in the screen and being almost impossible to get out. So you must always keep it damp by keeping a spray bottle nearby.

I've used Aquatex inks on certian types of screens (plastic carbon burnt) with superb results.

I've never used them on standard UV burnt mesh though...i've never found a range of the right opacity and thickness.

thank you both for getting back to me. i've read on other posts mention speedball - is that any good? also, if anyone knows - do water based inks fade more at all versus other types of ink? thanks so much

Water Base Ink Brand

hello,

I am looking for a good quality water base ink, something not thick at all, that when you print you don t feel it.
I m french and i used to use a great ink from TIFLEX company, in NY i just know STANDARD silkscreen and i think that their ink are BAD,

the color are really drab,

let me know!
