I am currently making shirts and they come out fine however once they are washed the shirt is pretty much ruined... what is the best way for me to stop this from happening after 1 wash?

Probably design washing out which means ink is not cured.

yep, your are not heating the shirt ink to 320

Are you screen printing or doing transfers? In either case, the issue is probably not enough heat and/or pressure (for transfers). Post up your process and we can probably tell you where the issue is.
