Warped Tour and other music festivals

So I'm interested in selling some merch out of my car, as the booth fees are ridiculous, considering I'm extremely small time. Would it be possible and perfectly legal for me to just pull into the parking lot, open up my trunk and just sell merch in the parking lot? Has anyone done this before? I wouldn't be bringing it into the actual venue. I've attended the Mansfield, MA venue before and their parking system is very spread out and strewn all over a large grass field.

Not unless you want to spend the night in jail and have to pay bail money, court fees, possible lawyer fees and a lot of wasted time. This doesn't even include a possible lawsuit by whatever group you make shirts of.
There's a reason these other vendors pay the ridiculous prices as you say. To stay out of trouble and make money. When you take short cuts, you risk hurting yourself.
If you think something is wrong before you even start then most likely there is and you know that lol. Good luck to you!

I hope you didn't think I was coming off sarcastic. I truly was not, and if you did I apologize for that. Maybe I could have worded myself differently. I just wanted to let you know that many people try and cut corners and end up getting caught and then they wish they had done it the right way or not at all. That's all i wanted to convey to you. Again, if my post came off sarcastic, I apologize to you and again I wish you luck in your endeavour.

No worries. I just knew I've seen people doing this before and I wanted to see if I could get the low-down on all of it, before I try something stupid. If that's not possible than I'll atleast be passing out stickers and business cards.
