Not too far from us a small town screen printer was hit with a cease and desist and a fancy $50,000 fine in the way of payment through printing for Disney at their cost from their big time printers. Small town guy had to print like slavery because they couldn't afford a $50k hit, financially.

I just say HELLA NO to anything that I think a guy in a suit is going to show up for.....(Don't mess with Augusta and the Master's Golf either. They hit here in a village of 1800 people)

I have heard of a seamstress doing TWO appliqué Disney shirts for a mom before. Mom and fam went to Disney and got detained by their in-house security until she gave up the name and contact info of the seamstress that made them. Seamstress then got hit with a cease and desist and a huge fine.

You cant detain someone for wearing a shirt. We are Americans and have rights. Who's to say she didnt make them herself. At the worst they would just ask them to change their shirt or leave the park. And I just went to disney last year and almost every family was wearing custom shirts and im fairly certain 99% of them werent approved by Disney. Oh and I didnt see anyone being frisked in an alley and questioned about their "illegal" shirts. That would just be bad business.

This was THE best representation of copyright infringement that I've seen. I've posted it to my fb page. I run into this at least once a day. I'm not gambling my business and going to work for anyone else on this earth ever again because some guy wanted to pose as a Drake or Harley-Davidson wearer, but was unwilling to actually pay for it.

Devalues the quality of the brand and knock-offs are tacky.

you can make it all you want but once you sell it is when your getting in trouble if you get caught. and if you dont know the person personally then your asking for lawsuit. I see home made shirts everyday. well everything is made by use anyway. silkscreen, htv, pad printing, relabeling is what we all do. we all know some clothing lines dont make there own clothing.

Where on earth did you come ups with your "very flawed" interpretation of Trade Mark laws?.....
