Help, I've tried to remove vinyl from various garments only to leave a ghost of the design behind. I've tried washing the garment after removing the vinyl without luck. Is there a magic solution out there that will remove the design?

I've used the solvent to remove lettering from both cotton and polyester and I use Easy Weed and Easy Weed Stretch. Apply it from the back side and let it soak for a minute, the vinyl starts to wrinkle and peels right off. After washing I've had only the faintest ghosting.

I remove when a customer asks to apply a different number. I work with a lot of sports teams. I charge for number removal but clearly indicate ghosting may or may not be present. The charge for the new number. A bit costly but since they are uniforms often Nike or Adidas the customer pays. Stuff from Stahl's has never failed me yet.

I appreciate all your responses. T-shirts I don't worry about, but when a client brings in a garment and I made an error, it's up to me to fix it. If the client makes the error, I always work with them to the best resolution. The ghosting is a problem, I'll try the goof off.

That's why I don't print on their garments, for that very reason. Try the solvent and put a teflon sheet on it immediately, while the solvent is still damp and keep repressing, sometimes it will remove some of the ghosting. I to have use it with easy weed with success.
