Hi, All. This is my first post, however, I've been actively following post here on TF for quite some time now... Here's my question:

Has anyone ever heat pressed Thermoflex numbers under a cured plastisol Team Name? I'm not sure if I should heat press the Thermoflex numbers first and then screenprint front logo & back team name, OR the other way around. Any help will be much appreciated!

We print first heat numbers second. Easier to place the things. Vinyl somethimes does like the trip through the oven

Thanks for the info, Shep. But I had a couple more questions: do I need to cover the team name with something so that the plastisol wont gel? Or will the team name withstand the 330 degree heat press? Will I need to put anything under the shirt to protect the front logo (opposite the numbers)?

If you hit the plastisol with a teflon cover it just smooths out the ink. We use pressing to smooth out white ink and increase the optical brightness for jobs we want to look that way..

Heck, some guys even use presses to cure plastisol in a small small shop.

My reccomendation is Try It!

We test every theory put forth to us as noraml op procedure. We buy loads of clothes from thrift shops for sacraficial testing. Pays big dividends
