I have an old HIX that I bought used like 20 years ago and it was old back then. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing is 40 years old.
I haven't used it in quite some time because most of my business is in screen printing. I would like to get into doing foil prints though so I dusted it off and fired it up.
The heating element works totally fine but I never figured out how to adjust the pressure on it. There is a knurled circle at the innermost side of the handle that I would assume would be where the adjustment would be made.
I emailed HIX but I thought to post it here while I wait for a response.
