Hi all, My name is Ken and have been a member of the forum for several years. Back when I was considering printing on T-Shirts, Caps and Mugs. But kind of dropped it.
Today I got what I believe is an incredable deal and I bought used....
Mighty Press Clam Press (15 x 15?), Mighty Press Cap press and Stahls (The Hot One) Mug press.
I will be looking at how to use these items, etc...
Hey any advice on how to learn using these presses and different things I can do, would be greatly appreciated.
I know squat about these things and the more I read, the most confused I get...lol

Stahls has a lot of helpful technical information on their site and they are also very helpful when it comes to using their consumables. You might want see if they have something you can buy to practice with then ask them some questions about application techniques.

OK, now that I have these presses, 15" x 15" platen press, Cap press and mug press.
I am looking at what supplies I need to try with.
Heat transfer using my Ink Jet printer (8.5 x 11 max).
Do I just need transfer paper?
What is sublimation?
Do I need specialty transfer papers? or will the same "paper" work with T-shirts, puzzles, mugs and caps?

Sorry for what may be stupid questions, I am starting to get confused from everything I have read so far....

Ken. You will need transfer paper for use with your inkjet printer. What brand is the printer?
Sublimation is a process where the ink goes from a solid to a gas state when reaching certain temperatures.
The product that is being printed must be a synthetic if it is a fabric, or for hard surfaces a coating that will accept the inks. A separate printer with sublimation inks, along with sublimation paper, must be used to create the transfers. Here is a link with further details: Sublimation Help - Pro World
