I have a customer supplied graphic created in Illustrator as a vector. This is then saved as an eps and opened in X-3. It is now a bitmap. I also had them export as an ai file. Is again a bitmap. What are we not doing correctly to get a vector from illustrator to X-3. I am driving myself crazy!!!

they aren't saving it right.. or it may not be vector..

just because it was in illustrator doesn't mean its vector it must be created in illustrator.

if I have a problem with the conversion and if its clean enough you can vectorize it in Corel and not have a problem

ask them to save it as a pdf. if that does not come thropugh as vector, its probably not.

It appears as tho the file contains a vector image with a shadow affect. Upon closer inspection the shadow is a bitmap. The image is a vector. Upon save or export could this create an issue?

I agree have them save it as pdf..import into Corel
