I bought the Vector Art Mega Collection from Specialty Graphics. This is a cd that has all kinds of vector images for printing. The images are in ai and eps. I am trying to change the font style in the ai files and am unsuccessful. Is there a way to change the font style on an ai file in illustrator?

Probably not because the text is changed to curves (no longer an editable font).

You can maybe find the font(s) online and retype them.

so there isn't a way to unconvert the outlines or curves at all?
this is a waste of a cd if that is the case.

Ask me how many times I've wished I knew how after converting a bunch of text to curves then overwriting the original file

Maybe not a total waste. How are the graphics?

And there are tons of free fonts available online.

they are ok, some of the artwork is for small biz, some shapes, animals, etc

You have to keep in mind that not everyone has every font, this is why they outlined the text. Sometimes stock sites include fonts in their packages, is there no font folder on the CD?

There is no font folder on the cd.

I see there are some hand lettered alphabets. Are they complete with upper and lower case? You don't have the option to type text but you should be able to swap out existing lettering and arrange with another one.
