vastex (and others?) appreciation thread

Hi all, we just had a short hail storm here near Montreal and it made think about the general state the economy and quality of equipment ;)
...and it occurred to me that out of all the equipment we have (MS, DTG, Vastex, HIX and some no name chinese press) only our vastex dryer/press/flash have been 100% dependable, as advertised, solid as a tank, worked properly the first time with a 25 year warranty.

This is in no way a cheerleader post but I wonder how often does this still happen that we can invest in equipment that actually delivers the quality and dependability that is advertised, out of the box, without hype and exaggeration or attempts to rip the customer off for some arbitrary conditions (for example this form needs to be filled out with red pen on yellow paper for us to respect the warranty so now you need to pay 800$).

So basically I guess I`m wondering what other companies are also worth working with long term and have a track record of ethical and responsible treatment of their customers - I want this to be a useful post ;).
Cheers!

I don't own one, but M&R presses and equipment have a very loyal following, and the owner is personally attentive to customer needs or problems. This is based on comments I've seen over the years on several forums. For myself, like you, I own a Vastex 2000HD, 8/4, and can't say enough about how good they are.
I have a complete Vastex shop. 2000hd 6/4, 2331 exposure unit, and db120 dryer. I love them...
I'm very proud every time I talk to people. I love to show it to all my customers.
Everything is built like a rock, I've never had a problem with any of it.

I wonder why Vastex doesn't make auto presses.

I love my little vastex v-1000 4/1 tabletop. Plan on expanding it soon with more arms and a rotary load. Also plan on getting a vastex dryer as well.

Can't say enough about the quality of this equipment. I especially like the rubber coated steel platens. Very heavy duty, guarenteed to not warp, and cools amazingly quick.

Later!

There's a limit to the auto market. There are a few good manufacturer's out there, and in economic times like these one has to wonder how well they're holding up in manufacturing high-dollar equipment. An auto press comes with the necessity of a larger dryer, generally two people on the press, most often an expensive compressor, and the amount of work in the shop to keep one running enough hours in the day to make it worthwhile. On the other hand, there's more of a demand for well-made manual machines by people who stick with screenprinting in spite of starting on cheap, crappy presses, once they realize that spending $4-5000 on a good one makes their life a whole lot easier.

Why? I guess the biggest reason I have stayed out of the auto market is the expansion to my business. I want to keep doing a good job at what we do now, and not take my eye off the ball. But when we do get in, look out!

Nice to see you guys have your eye on the ball.
Thanks for sending out the extra printing arms the same day last week. They arrived on time and we made our deadline.
Keep up the good work!
