Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knew what else I will need besides the vacuum pump for my exposure unit. I see people buy a gauge set, is it really necessary? Do I need any special hose or valve?

You don't always need a vacuum pump for your exposures depending on how your equipment is set up. Ours has a hinged lid with a heavy piece of place glass so we put a soft foam pad covered in an old black shirt under the screen (squeegie side) and place the screen shirt side up in the unit and close the lid. Hold the lid tight with a gallon jug of water and go for it. The only purpose for the vacuum blanket is to hold the film tight against the mesh.
