How do I use USPS click n ship without purchasing their envelopes? Every time I go to print a label it requires me to ask what service I want. There is no option for people who have their own shipping materials. HELP!
Sure there is. I use this service for everything I ship.

Just select the Priority Mail or Express Mail service options. It will show a photo of a plain brown box.

You can't use the Click N Ship for regular First Class mail though. You have to either use stamps or take it directly to a post office or a retail post office store.

The price depends on the location. If I'm shipping within California, an 8oz package will cost me around $4.90. If I'm shipping to New York, it will probably cost closer to $6.50. That's up to the customer. Our shipping module shows our customers their exact shipping charge and they select how they want it shipped. First Class mail takes over a week on average. Most of our customers want their order in 2-3 days and don't mind paying a few dollars extra for it. I very rarely get someone wanting me to ship First Class.

I think you can use stamps.com to print out your first class labels. You might want to check them out.

If you have your own poly bags go with Paypal.Thru Paypal you can ship first class & also get a delivery confirmation number which you can always Cut & paste it to an email to the customer instead of going to the post office which charges an additional .75 for delivery confirmation for first class. Most items we ship first class takes on average 2-3 days.
Also depending on how many t-shirts your sending? we use the flat rate envelope for items weighting over 13oz max is 3 t-shirts for $4.90 no matter what part of the country.

Hi MiamiMoney,

I wanted to point out that you can print First Class Packages with Stamps.com. Also, you get discounted postage when you purchase labels for First Class Packages using an online postage service vs. going to the Post Office.

As an example, if you are shipping a 12 ounce item:
First Class Package Service Post Office rate: $3.48
First Class Package Service online postage rate: $3.14
Savings is $0.34 per package

Plus, Delivery Confirmation is free using online postage for First Class Packages. At the Post Office, you would need to pay an additional $0.85 for Delivery Confirmation.

Hope this helps!
Eric
