If you're talking about using something like a retensionable frame, or a wooden one with a groove and cord stretching method, depending on the design, it might be okay, but there's a good chance of some distortion, and it's not something you could do if it were part of a multi-color job where it has to register to another screen. Better to reclaim the screen and redo it later as needed, if you don't have enough screens in stock to hold one out for reprinting.

Does anyone know if I could use emulsion paper, expose it and make my design on the mesh, and then take it off the frame and reuse the design later? Would that work even if I've loosened the mesh?
You are referring to this kind of system.

But, like Tom said the reattached screen will affect the designs alignment and become distorted and skewed.
