Using cad printz vs inkjet or silk screen

I have started using cad printz designs from stahls it seems a bit expensive.Should I consider ink jet or screen printing.I do understand screen printing is more expensive.

Just wonder if anyone else uses stahls Id direct

Screen printing is not more expensive necessarily. You can get great starter packages from companies like Ryonet for very good prices.

An inkjet (DTG) printer is not an inexpensive item by any means.

What kind of printing are you going to do? Custom/promotional printing? If so, what would your customers want? Your own private label? Depending on what it is exactly you want to do, it can steer you in the direction of what printing method to use and whether to do it in house or contract the printing out.

In my experince, the only thing that buying transfers from Stahl's / transfer express or similar companies buys you is saving you some time, especially for small orders. Anything with volume will ALWAYS have a lower cost with screen printing. ALWAYS. The expense with screen printing is the initial investment. One distinct advantage of transfers is for custom work. You can have a transfer made for just about any need at a relatively low price.
