As a note ahead of time, except to pay 2 to 4 times less than the cost of a new press of the same type when buying used.
I would suggest calling around to any t-shirt companies in your area and see if you can find a used press for sale - that's how I found mine. Look in a phonebook under 't-shirts' and 'screen printing' and start calling around.
If you find one locally, this means you can at least look at it in person to see if there's anything obviously wrong with it, and maybe do a test print with it as well. Plus, you won't have to pay shipping fees if you can haul it off yourself.
