Hix offers a nice Swingman 20E with manual thermostat and no
computer parts. It looks like a solid 100% mechanical machine.
It does not have a thermometer so I was thinking of putting one of these somewhere. They handle high temps I figure it is the same idea. They make some with probes and some that are flat. They are also super cheap!
Why wouldn't it work?
Maybe make a special 20 amp switch for it and not have to touch the dial anymore. The only part that would fail is the $25 thermostat. Maybe some wires? Other than that look at it.
