I know a lot about tension know but I think it must be something else cuae the uppertension wheel doesn t turn any further.

If you have the tension knobs tightend all the way, you probably need to take them apart and clean out lint buildup. If your machine has a lot of years on it, It might also be time to replace the springs and/or the felt pads.

My tension disks stop turning long before the threads bottom out. LONG BEFORE. I agree with zoom, take it all apart and see what you're missing there. Something is worn or was replaced the wrong way. I have a problem where lint builds up on my pretension plate, then the disks won't turn because there's no tension above them. I'm assuming your disks are turning though. I have also had to take the disks completely off and clean them because some thread has a coating on it that comes off and keeps the tension disks from rotating too much too.
