I am about to embark on the same mission. We have an established POS system and will be trying to use it's ecommerce features to tie the B&M inventory together with a new web store.

Upgrading retail POS system for ecommerce store
Our retail store is doing well with niche tee shirts and we are considering expanding our sales with a better ecommerce site.
We are toying with Godaddy, sold a few tees, and realize we have not put much effort into anything just yet.
I can see the day coming where we will need a better online site and need a new POS system in our store integrated to keep track of the inventory at both the B&M and the online store.
Anyone have any suggestions concerning the best POS system to accomplish these goals?

I really like Big Commerce. It allows you track your inventory and integrate everything with Quickbooks if you use that as well.
