We recently had another computer issue..it is dead. We have all of our backups, both on and offsite. But, now comes the annoying part, reloading all the software.
So here is my question, can anyone suggest a replacement for cutstudio?
It came with one of our first Roland cutters, about 15 years ago. Just wondering if we should change it up? Is there something out there that is more efficient?

Signlab is a good choice, lots of great options.
So is Flexi, but that is a monthly fee now a days.

We did the same thing. Bought a used Roland about 15 years ago, came with Flexi (during the days of XP, maybe?).

Anyways, quit doing signage about 10 years ago, then decided to fire everything back up recently after frustration of having to pay for a job that took too long from a local (and were told we were getting a discount - NOT!), and was DONE INCORRECTLY TWICE! So we reloaded Flexi on new computers, but was not compatible w/OS, and did not want to pay Flexi prices to upgrade!

The new plan included downloading new drivers for the Roland and find a new program - Corel or something. Ended up purchasing Vinyl Master. Didn't know much about it beforehand, but the Roland picked up like a champ from where we left off, and the VinylMaster only cost us $50!

We're up and running now!

P.S. Sometimes the Roland is a little "glitchy" with VM, and we have to unplug and turn it off then plug it back again for them to communicate. But it only takes a few seconds, so not too inconvenient, and if we leave it on, there's no more issues.
