maybe there are some things that need tweaked here and there, i'm not sure as i didn't go through it with a fine-toothed comb or anything, but my impression is that this is a site to be very proud of. to me, it has what every site should have (at least on the surface) and generally the way it should be done. i would recommend to people that have a brand compatible with this style of site to use yours as an example ~ which isn't to say copy it, but it's just a great example, imo.

one thing i really like seeing are *good* pics of people wearing the product that doesn't feel like just a swarmy corporate gimmick of perfect people in a contrived setting. on the flip side of that, i really don't care for the kids standing against a wall thing, either ~ boring and overdone! either way, the trick is nice photography, imo, and sooo many brands fail to do that.

i don't know if there are any major issues with it when it comes to the 'smaller' stuff like return policies and such, i'm just looking at the look, what obvious content you have and how it's presented, and the ease of navigation. so, in that sense, i think you've got a winner and, if you don't mind, will likely refer others to your site when appropriate when they need some inspiration for 'how should my site look?' type of stuff. i think i can trace back some of your major inspirations for the design of the site, but i'm not a shill for those guys, lol.

have you given any thought to having womens clothing, too? the one thing i noticed was how the accessories were in the same page as the shirts, so i might consider adding an accessories category so that kind of stuff won't go unnoticed as easily, if that makes any sense. still, that's probably pretty trivial....

agreed. i've seen too many jacked up sites where some girlfriend is propped up against some weird, poorly lit background, and the results look like some dude's cell phone camera pic. at least it's something, i grant them that, but sometimes less is more, ya know? especially if the bad pics makes you look like a complete amateur....

honestly, the first thing i notice about a site is the quality of the pics that hit me first b/c that's almost always indicative of how everything else on the site is, too. (<--and yikes! who taught me grammar anyway?) that's not say that these are the highest grade professional pics, just that they are pretty damn good based on a lot of junk i've seen. :) they have *some* semblance of that diffused/filtered look (not sure what the correct terms are) that a lot of lifestyle brands go for, even if it doesn't *totally* capture the 'perfect' look of some of them. another note: i like to be able to click on the images in the banner instead of waiting for the pics to change themselves. i would prefer a few extra pics, but that's just me, i guess, and i'm not a fan of that blocky dissolve, again just another preference. none of this would dissuade me from buying were the designs my thing.

How can I say this?
I spent a lot of time looking at your site. I felt compelled and interested and enjoyed everything about it. I like that the text isn't quite black... Very elegant... I love the banner pictures and the backdrop for the shirts on the shopping page... I like the navigation, I like the text on top of the big image links in the middle of the landing page...
anyway,
The reason I tell you all this is that I think the time I spent looking at your site shows how NICE the site really is because I don't care for the designs at all. No criticism intended. They are just not my style.
So kudos! Great site! Nice, concise message.
