Tshirt Printing

1007 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  splathead
Hello: I am in a bind and I hope someone can help me. I have promised a customer that I would do a logo on a shirt for her but that was before I realized the logo had white in it. The shirt is dark green and 100% cotton. The logo has black white and red in it. I cannot afford to purchase another printer. I need to either find another way to do the shirt, or find a premade logo that can iron on, or any other suggestions would be MOST helpful. Thank you in advance.

What process are you using to make the shirt? DTG, Heat-Transfer, Screen Printing?
Heat Press. Its a 100% cotton shirt so I would use the ChromaBlast.
Not familiar with the ChromaBlast system but after researching it, it seems like you'll need to find a version of that paper that will also transfer the white background (which you may then need to contour cut around the design) or possibly recommend a different shirt color to your client. It's hard to say without seeing the art you're working with.
Hmm what is that? Never heard of it. Is that something I can use in my SG400 ChromaBlast? Will it print white on a dark tshirt?

Plastisol transfers are screen printed for you by a supplier, then you heat press them to the shirt.
To expand on what NoXid said, the supplier would print the design onto a transfer paper. Then they would print white behind it and put some adhesive on it. Then, when you get it all you have to do is press it onto whatever you're pressing onto. Voila! You now have a screen printed item.
One shirt?

1. Sub it out to a DTG printer.

2. Promise yourself you'll never promise things again without knowing exactly what it entails. :)

Plastisol transfers is not a good option for a single shirt. Would be too expensive.
