Trying to revive Toyota 820

Received a Toyota 820 embroidery machine with a Pantograms computer. Computer lost it's back up batteries and we are unable to recover the hard drive. We do have the Pantgrams program on 3 1/2" floppy. Is it possible to load on a newer computer? Been told that I will need a gender bender. Don't want to put a lot of money into the 820 if it does not work. Is there a way to test 820 without being connected to a computer? System was purchased in the early '90's and Pantograms no longer supports.

Any ideas?
