Sub printing is something I know nothing about. But I have a few ????

I have read that sub paper can be used in standard printers but is used with dye ink. Has anybody tried printing onto sub paper with pigment ink ie attempted to use as standard transfer paper. I guess this may be a no brainer question, but i'm prepared to take the fallout :)

In short I want to get a more professional result out of my tranfers. I like ironall and would stick with it. But as I am in the uk and getting it here is a massive prob. I am looking for other solutions.
What do big companies use for paper based transfers

Regards. Lee.
