Hi All,

OK, I have searched many threads about the different transfer methods, and I think I have this straight:

The only option I have with my Brother printer and my heat press is transfer paper with regular ink. No sublimation ink, no vinyl no plastisol.

Is this correct, or did I miss something?

Thank-you

Sounds correct. I assume you have an inkjet? Or is it laser?

Vinyl is not printed, its cut. So you would need a cutter for vinyl. Plastisol is screen printed only. It does not go into a printer.

Sublimation may be possible with modifications to an inkjet. It would just depend on the model. There is no sublimation for lasers, that I know of.

Thanks Joe. I have an inkjet printer right now. If things go well over the holiday season, I'll have to think about a CIS. Otherwise I'll just put half my money back into ink.
What do you think about the longevity of heat transfers? I haven't had my press long enough to judge, and I don't want to overprice my work.
