Being a newbie and trying to learn, I am wondering if I use the word "Camaro" or the word and an artist's drawing of a Camaro on a tee shirt with a logo/tag line we have created. Are their companies out there that have license agreements with car companies, etc. that will sub license a design to small players like me on a case by case application? I have attached a basic sample.
thanks. If I do a caricature of the car, does that change anything?

Camaro's intellectual property is owned by General Motors, so it would be infringement to use it without license or permission. You would have to contact them directly to get licensing details. I'm sure there are companies who are licensed, but sub-licensing is tricky. Some licensors frown upon it. And licensees are going to be careful who they sub-license to, because it's their reputation on the line. I would think you have to be pretty established to get a deal done.
